Similase Lipo is a formula with a full range of digestive enzymes, with additional lipase activity to aid in the digestion and assimilation of fats and fat-soluble nutrients. Similase Lipo promotes an optimal intestinal response to dietary fats. The vegetarian enzymes used in Similase® Lipo are produced through the fermentation of fungal organisms, including Aspergillus, Rhizopus, and Saccharomyces. Some of the vegetarian enzyme products contain maltase, which is derived from malt barley. If a product contains maltase, it is not gluten-free. Similase® Lipo contains very little gluten, which is derived from maltase. When the product was tested, it was found to contain less than 20 ppm gluten. Adults take 1 or 2 capsules up to three times per day before each meal, or as recommended by your healthcare professional.
